Somewhere down a rocky road … Synchronicity

Cooch
On our way to St. John’s for convocation.
Bast
Flying or driving?

Cooch
Good grief … flying. That’s St. John’s, NL…
Cooch
(for the benefit of TFC readers unfamiliar with the geographical location of said St.
John’s)
Bast
Ah! Well, you’re such a road trip chick I never know.
Cooch
My niece found the most awesome BnB here! An entire house right on the edge of the harbour … I get to see Signal Hill out my window.
Cooch
Lay down in bed and this was staring at me through the window. Clearly it’s a sign; just not sure what it means…

Cooch
And here’s the view this morning…that’s Signal Hill.

Bast
You’re not in a little house next to a lighthouse, are you?
Cooch
There is a lighthouse down the road … Why?
Bast
That’s where we stayed. My friends and I. A couple of years ago. Cute little white and red house.
Cooch
Was it in Fort Amherst?
Bast
It was the farthest end of the inlet across from Signal Hill. Can’t find any photos right now. Beautiful spot though – we loved it. We were lucky though that the lighthouse didn’t go off. Would have been like it was actually in the house!
Cooch
Um … this?
Bast
That’s it!!
Cooch
Cool – so we are about 300 metres away – right where the last turnaround spot is. Go figure.
Bast
Ha! That’s amazing.
Bast
Even in NFLD, our lives continue to intersect…
Cooch
Right?
Cooch
St. John’s seems like the kind of place that captures a piece of your heart,
so maybe there’s a bit of everyone who’s been here before, roaming the windswept rocks around the harbour …

Bast
So even more weird…my friend that I stayed there with just got a photo sent to her by her daughter, who also stayed at the little house with us.
Bast
She found it at a Value Village. Guess what it was? Yup. Spooky, right?

Cooch
OK – I just got chills.
Bast
Synchronicity, or what?
